This year, COVID-19 (or new coronavirus) has padlocked the travel industry around the world. Many hotels have suspended their activities and almost all tourist attractions have also closed.

The four cities on the north coast of São Paulo are following the decree of suspension of the State Government. Ilhabela completely closed the entrance of tourists arriving by ferry.

The Litoral Norte Paulista is one of the most explored destinations during the holiday season, and in this crisis how can people, who have travel plans or who want to go on vacation, do it?

The recommendation is to avoid leaving the house these days. But the quarantine has its days numbered.

The forecast is that the hotels and inns on the North Coast of São Paulo will start operating again in April.

Even with activities returning to normal, it is important to take maximum care with the proliferation of the virus.

If you are really up for a trip, doctors and infectologists recommend the following steps to try to minimize the risks and prevent the transmission of coronavirus:

Even with the use of plastic money, you must follow the same disinfection procedures.

6 - In the hotel room you also need to double your attention. First, make sure that the entire environment is sanitized. Also be careful with the utensils you are going to use, such as glasses, plates and cutlery, we recommend using disposables at this time. If you can't use disposables, clean them yourself, because you have no idea when they were washed or who touched them last.

When it comes to coronaviruses and other viruses transmitted in a similar way, the key is to always think first about your hands and then about your face and mouth and how something has the potential to get there.

There are other important precautions to take when traveling.

7 -  Avoid agglomerations. That way you also prevent the virus from proliferating. So always try to stay away from other people. Have your arm as a parameter. People should stay away from you without being able to touch your hands when your arms are outstretched. The distance must be at least 1.5 meters. They are approximately the length of 2 arms of an adult person.

Canceling travel plans is really disappointing, of course, due to the circumstances, doing so now is important for your own individual health and to slow the spread of COVID-19.

With the end of the quarantine and the situation under control, there will be no problems traveling by car with the family if you take the correct preventive measures to the letter.

8 -  Try to travel to places that do not usually have a large concentration of people.

The Litoral Norte Paulista has many options and places with little movement. After all, there are more than 300 beaches between Bertioga and Ubatuba that you will surely find one that has very little visitation.

Pousada Port Louis is also on a beach with little movement, is located between Caraguatatuba and Ubatuba, on Tabatinga beach. As it is far from the center, it is not a popular beach and there are few bathers.

Another positive point of Tabatinga beach is that it is very extensive and this favors that it can keep a good distance from other swimmers.

When traveling through this pandemic period, remember to disinfect, wash your hands (at least eight times a day for at least 20 to 30 seconds), practice as much social distance as possible and follow current travel protocols.
